It's been a crazy week! Things are going great! Our house is now officially on the market. We still have a couple of things to do to the house, but nothing too major. We were excited to finally get it on the market though.
Justus and Matthias are doing well. Justus has cut two more teeth. He has been extra cranky and very sleepy the past week, so I'm hoping that his new teeth were the source of that problem. He has a few new words including "hi" and "bye". He only uses "hi" when he is pretending to talk on the phone. He will say "bye" when he thinks we are leaving. I just love that he is starting to talk although he still resorts to crying and pointing when he wants something.
Matthias is getting so big! I'm reminded of this when I see him playing with Justus' toys. He can now pull himself up onto his knees to play with Justus' music table. I think he could pull himself up to standing if he wanted to, but hasn't figured it out yet. I have stood him up a couple of times and had him hold on to the music table or whatever and he will stand for a while. It's crazy to think that he will be 9 months old tomorrow and be walking and talking very soon!!
I will try to post some pictures later tonight or tomorrow sometime so check back!

The Rumors Are True...
No...we're not pregnant. We're moving (at least after we sell our house)!! Jon and I have decided it's time to make the move across the river. We have been looking at houses in Missouri for the past few weeks. We haven't found one just yet, but we are getting ready to put our house on the market...most likely sometime this weekend. Who knows how long our house will be on the market, but we are in no rush. We're hoping it sells somewhat quickly just so we can be done with it, but if it doesn't we're okay with it. I'll keep everyone updated on when our house goes under contract.
Anyways, the boys are doing great!! Matthias is doing wonderful. We had a doctor's appointment last week with the urologist. It was the most pointless appointment ever! Our pediatrician thought he may have meatal stenosis...I think I talked about this a while back. Well...it's still possible that he may have it, but we have decided to wait until he is a little older to find out. We were at Cardinal Glennon for over 2 hours and left knowing nothing more than when we walked in. The nurse practitioner that saw Matthias said he was really young to be diagnosed. She asked us a series of questions and also said that stenosis cannot be diagnosed on site of the meatus alone. She then asked if we could feed him so that we could watch him go to the bathroom. After 45 minutes and still no pee she said we could leave but gave us a prescription for a steroid to treat him. Jon and I decided not to treat him and since he seems to have no problems wetting his diapers and has plenty of them we are going to wait to go back. Other than that...Matthias is on the move and continues to get quicker. He is a pro at crawling now! He is also babbling a lot more and has even started saying "mamama" now. He sure is getting big!
Justus is doing great also! His blister is all healed now. I don't think he will be touching the lawnmower again anytime soon. His new thing right now is "driving". He loves to be in the driver's seat of the van or Jon's car. He loves sitting there and playing with the wheel and pushing buttons and turning knobs. We don't let him play there much, but every once-in-a-while we will let him play "drive". His speech is continuing to improve. He has also started making gestures for certain things. When he wants something he will point and then clap or make the "more" sign in sign language. Also, when he wants picked up he puts his two hand face up...kind of like he's saying "I don't know". It's definitely nice to have an idea of what he is wanting now instead of him crying or throwing a fit.

We have a mobile baby!! Matthias can now crawl! He is still getting the hang of it, but he can move pretty good. Today I set him down in the boys room and went to the kitchen. When I came out of the kitchen he had made his way out of his room into the hallway. I'm sure he will be a pro soon! In other Matthias news...he has started babbling quite a bit. He says "dadada" a lot. It's pretty cute!
Justus is doing pretty good. The poor little guy burned his little hand on the lawnmower on Saturday. He has a pretty good sized blister. He doesn't seem to notice it, and I'm hoping he doesn't. I really don't want him picking at it. He is getting so big and even more curious lately. He wants to do everything that Jon and I do. He is doing pretty good with talking...no new words, but he will repeat sounds to us now. He also got a haircut today. I bought some clippers so that I could do it myself. I need to take some more pictures of it because the ones I took came out really dark. He didn't mind the haircut...although I did distract him with M&M's.
We had a pretty good 4th of July. We went to see fireworks in Chesterfield with some of our friends. I was shocked that both of the boys did really well watching them. We had to hold Matthias because he didn't like the noise, but that was expected. Justus would watch them, but he just wanted to be up walking around our blanket. He only strayed two times, but he never threw a fit or anything like that. We were very happy that we could enjoy the fireworks as a family.

Matthias is 8 months old today!! I sure can't believe that he's already 8 months old! He is getting big! He can kind of crawl now. He can move his arms and his legs, but doesn't seem to understand exactly how it all works. He can move around a little bit though. He's getting there! Now that he's starting to move he seems to be more curious than ever. He wants to see what everything is and grab everything.
Justus is doing great too! He can now say "choo choo". He says "Mommy" pretty clearly now too. He could always say "mommy", but it wasn't very clear that he was referring to me or if that was even what he was saying. He definitely uses it a lot now to get my attention though. We're just excited that he is finally starting to talk! He's also been eating a bigger variety of foods lately, which is a huge improvement. He is willing to try whatever we are eating, which I think will make my life a little easier. Now if only he could master using the fork and spoon!!
Since the 4th of July is Friday we are going to attempt taking the boys to some fireworks. We will see how it goes. I think Justus will be okay as long as he isn't cranky because it will be kind of late by the time the fireworks start. I don't think Matthias will really mind. I'll post some pictures this weekend hopefully!
