What a crazy weekend!! We had a good time hanging out with Jon's family even though it was a hectic weekend. Thursday we traveled up to Springfield to have Thanksgiving dinner with Jon's family. Everyone of course loved seeing the boys! We had planned on Jon's family coming down to see us on Friday, but due to Jon's family's schedules we ended up traveling up there and staying the night on Friday to maximize our time with them. We really had a good time, and Jon's aunt and uncle even watched Justus on Friday night so that we could go out to eat. It was kind of nice to go out on a little date, which we don't get to do very often. Justus just loved all the attention he got from his grandpa, two uncles, and his aunt. He was sure exhausted by Saturday though. He fell asleep while being held, which NEVER happens, so we knew he was worn out. Matthias didn't know the difference : ). Jon's dad also treated us and bought us an early Christmas present...a camcorder! We are pretty excited to use it and record the boys while they are still little.
Justus LOVES to walk! He is pretty cute...okay he is really cute!! He doesn't care where he is walking to as long as he is walking. He will sometimes just walk circles. He really loved being in the lobby of the hotel with all the open space.
We are still working with Justus and his eating habits. He is a very picky eater, and won't try anything new. He is very sensitive to textures, so hopefully he will soon overcome that. He has tried a couple of the 3rd foods, but will only take a couple of bites before playing defense and putting his hands in front of his mouth. I tried to mash some frozen vegetable for him to try since he won't pick up green beans, carrots, or peas, but it didn't work. I know he likes the flavor of them, so I think it's just the texture. I'm sure he will get over it eventually. I will probably talk to the doctor about it the next time I go though.
Saturday night the Wilson's came over and saw us. It was really neat to see them and their new baby who is 2 days older than Matthias. It was fun to take pictures of the boys together, and just to see how totally different they are. Matthias goes back to the doctor next week, which I am pretty excited about.
Jon and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary on Tuesday!! I don't know that we are going to do anything too exciting, but we will see. It's so crazy to think that we have been married 3 years!! We have truly been blessed in our marriage, and are looking forward to many more years together!!
