Things here are going great!! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent in Springfield with Jon's family. It was great to see everyone and for them to see the boys! We also got to see some friends while there, which is always fun.
Things have been somewhat busy, but busy is good sometimes I suppose. It seems like there is a lot going on with Christmas parties, birthdays and holidays. This weekend will be the busiest for us by far. We have a Christmas party on Saturday night and Sunday we are celebrating Justus' birthday with the family. The boys are staying the night with their grandparents on Saturday night so that Jon and I can finish Christmas shopping for the boys and attend our Sunday School Christmas party. We are excited to celebrate Justus' birthday on Sunday and to give Justus his birthday present...a bike! We know he is going to love it!! After this weekend I think things will calm down a little. I think things seem more busy than they are due to Jon working a second job since we have fewer nights to get things done. The good news is that Jon is taking a little time off from his second job, so for the next few weeks we won't have to worry about him being gone on the weekends. I am especially thankful for this!!
Justus is continuing to do well. He is talking more and more and is even getting better at repeating words for us. He is getting so big and it is hard to believe he will soon be 2!! Justus has recently discovered his love for cartoons! Every morning he gets to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He just loves it!! It's pretty cute to see him just sitting on the couch with his blanket watching Mickey....although he calls him "Hot Dog" because they do the Hot Dog Dance at the end of every show. When they play music he even bobs his head!
Matthias is now quite the walker. He is getting around really well! He also can get into a lot more! He also loves to climb and really loves getting on the furniture. He has started eating more lately and will eat whatever we put in front of him. He loves to eat! Justus was the exact opposite and still is for the most part. Justus hates most vegetables and is really picky and just kind of picks at his food most of the time. Matthias loves most vegetables and will eat and eat. I guess every child is different.
The pregnancy is continuing to go well. I am starting to feel back to normal. I'm not nearly as tired as I had been and no more feeling sick! My pants are beginning to get tight and I know it won't be long before I have to go shopping for some maternity pants. I don't go back to the doctor until the 29th of this month. I am continuing to go to the gym, but my workout is very light. The doctor told me to continue going because it would help with labor and keeping weight gain to the minimal.
